FIREARM TRANSFERS

Please call (408)-970-9870 before buying a firearm online. It may be less expensive after taxes and fees to buy direct from Reed’s.

Each firearm transfer must be set up with Reed’s, prior to the firearm arriving, in person or by phone.

Incoming firearm transfer fees (plus $42 DROS and sales tax*)

Handguns $200 

Long guns $200

Receivers $135

All items must be legal for sale in California. Any illegal items will be shipped back immediately, at the customer’s expense, or turned over to law enforcement.

After the firearm has been delivered, you will be contacted once it has been processed, typically within 2 business days.

*You must provide a copy of the firearm invoice. You will be charged sales tax if the invoice does not list sales tax.

Items left for more than 30 days will incur storage fees at the going rate. After 90 days the item will be forfeited to Reed’s Indoor Range and will be sold to recuperate transfer and/or storage fees.

All fees are charged even if the firearm is not transferred. Firearms sent back to the seller will incur a shipping fee in addition to the above fees.

No ammunition transfers will be accepted.
